  • Now that we are done cleaning, lets get some fresh lube in there

  • Remove the pawls and put a small amount of e*thriteen freehub grease in each pawl pocket (our grease is Mobil XHP-222)

    • Use only a small amount of grease and clean up any grease that escapes once the pawls are reinstalled

  • Reinstall the pawls

  • Lightly grease the pawl faces with e*thirteen freehub grease

  • Clean the freehub lockring if your hub uses one

    • 2016+ hubs and freehubs use a one piece seal and no lockring, so skip this step if you don't see the lockring

  • lightly grease the hub seal and lockring (if used)

  • Lightly grease the hub's ratchet ring and seal face using Mobil XHP-222 grease

  • If you don't have Mobil XHP-222 grease, do not substitute any other grease. Suitable substitutes are Dumond Tech Freehub Oil, Phil Wood Tenacious Oil, 80W gear oil or 30W motor oil.

  • Re-install the freehub body following the axle removal and install instructions
