    • Start by installing your saddle

    • Loosen the T25 bolts until they are nearly free

    • Slide the saddle rail into one side of the clamp, this will allow you to slip the other saddle rail around the top plate

    • Snug the saddle bolts, but leave them loose as you'll need to adjust the saddle angle before riding

  2. Next, install the housing into your frame, if you don't know the housing length from a previous post, leave it long. You'll want at least 5cm protruding from the seat tube and ~40cm protruding from the front frame port If your frame has rubber grommets like this Santa Cruz, removing them while you perfect the cable length will make things easier

  3. Slip the housing clamp nut over the housing Slip the rubber wedge over the housing Slip the housing ferrule onto the end of the housing
    • Slip the housing clamp nut over the housing

    • Slip the rubber wedge over the housing

    • Slip the housing ferrule onto the end of the housing

    • Slide the ferrule into the end of the post and tighten the clamp nut, this will fix the housing to the post

  4. With the clamp nut tight, slide the post into the frame Be sure to help guide the housing through the frame as needed
    • With the clamp nut tight, slide the post into the frame

    • Be sure to help guide the housing through the frame as needed

    • Set at your approximate saddle height and snug the post clamp (no need to tighten now, but if you do, be sure to follow your frame manufacturer's torque spec)

    • Do not install the cable at this point

    • Before installing your seatpost be sure to follow your frame manufacturers recommendations for seatpost installs. For carbon frames this may mean the use of carbon friction paste.

  5. Moving to the front of the bike, install the lever onto your handle bar. Determine the appropriate housing length and mark the housing (do not cut just yet) Be sure your housing is long enough that it will not impede the steering of your bicycle

  6. Next, loosen the seat clamp and remove the post from the bike so that ~5cm of housing is showing and you can access the cable carrier Remember to help guide the housing through the frame Check that the mark you made on the lever end of the housing is still accessible from outside the frame. This will come in handy later if you need to remove the post for any reason you can just remove the lever from the bar. If you need to add length to the housing to accommodate this, do so now.

    • Cut the housing and install the ferrule

  7. Now that the housing length is set, lets set the post up With the post slightly out of the frame, insert the cable into the post and housing If this is difficult, you may want to remove the cable fixing nut
