Any brand bearing press will work as long as the correct size bearing drifts are used. DO NOT HAMMER OUT BEARINGS , as this can lead to a de-bonded hub shell.

Begin by removing the axle from the hub by following one of these guides:

Using your bearing press, place the axle press tool on the disc side axle reducer. This will press the axle through the hub.

Place the bearing removal cup on the non-disc side. This cup should be larger in diameter than the bearing.

Slide the threaded rod through the hub, and install the handles.

Make sure the axle press tool and bearing removal cup are centered.

Tighten the tool handles to press the axle and the non-disc side bearing out of the hub shell.

Remove the bearing from the axle sleeve.

Insert the axle reducer back into the hub, and then slide the appropriate size bearing drifts and spacers onto the axle rod before inserting into the axle reducer.

Place the bearing removal cup on the disc side. This cup should be larger in diameter than the bearing.

Tighten the tool handles to press the axle and the disc-side bearing out of the hub shell.

To install new bearings, begin by sliding one bearing onto the axle reducer.

Insert the axle reducer into the non-disc side of the hub shell.

Slide the appropriate size bearing drifts and spacers onto the axle rod before inserting into the axle reducer.

Be sure to center drifts to avoid damage to the bearing.

Center the drive-side bearing in the hub shell. Slide the appropriate bearing drift and spacers onto the axle rod and thread through the hub shell.

Tighten the tool to press both bearings in, capturing the axle reducer between the bearings.
